The Association for UV and EB Technologies and the U.S. Commercial Service in the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to participate in the New Market Exporter Initiative (NMEI) program. The goal of the partnership is to boost awareness of export and partnering opportunities to enable RadTech members to identify new markets for their products and grow their businesses by increasing exports.
RadTech joined the effort as part of its membership with the National Association of Manufacturers’ Council of Manufacturing Associations. In 2010, President Obama announced the National Export Initiative with the goal of doubling U.S. exports by the end of 2014. The NMEI connects companies with the U.S. Commercial Service and its worldwide network of trade professionals located in 108 U.S. cities and in U.S. Embassies and Consulates in nearly 80 countries—these experts provide an array of market development services. Ninety-five percent of the world’s consumers are outside of the U.S., highlighting the vast potential for U.S. businesses looking to boost their international sales.
The U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce and RadTech will launch the RadTech New Market Exporter Initiative at RadTech 2012 in Chicago. For more information, visit www.radtech2012.com.
