Michem Wood Coating 75 is a new water-based additive that can penetrate wood surfaces and produce water beading and anti-swell properties. When compared to uncoated wood, the product reportedly improves swell resistance by 80%. It dries clear and is typically used for outdoor wood deck and fence applications.
 
The coating contains fewer than 100 g/L of VOCs and can be diluted down to 10% solids while maintaining effectiveness. It reportedly offers outstanding recoatability for improved wetout and intercoat adhesion, and can be used as a stand-alone topical wood coating or as a surface modifier.
