This company, an Emerald Performance Materials company, has introduced Hypro™ 1200X90 HTB, the newest addition to its Hypro reactive liquid polymer product line based on hydroxy-functional polybutadiene (HTPB) technology. Hypro 1200X90, when used in elastomeric polyurethanes, can offer final products that have high hydrophobicity due to the polybutadiene backbone. This is important for water-resistant applications. In comparison to Hypro 2800X95 HTB, the first product in the series introduced last year, 1200X90 HTB is lower in molecular weight and, consequently, lower in viscosity and higher in hydroxyl value.

Hypro 1200X90 is reportedly suited for the production of elastomeric polyurethanes that exhibit excellent hydrolytic stability and outstanding low temperature flexibility due to its low Tg.
