New renewable, sustainable polyester polyols are now available from this company. Susterra® propanediol from DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products (DTL) has been combined with bio-succinic acid from Myriant Corp. to produce high-purity, 100% bio-based polyols that are reportedly functionally equal and cost-competitive with petroleum-derived polyols without requiring green-price premiums.

The polyol formulations, which are made from renewable resources, can enable the production of eco-friendly, sustainable products. Industrial applications for the polyols include adhesives and sealants, coatings, and microcellular elastomers.
