This company, an Emerald Performance Materials company, recently announced Hypro™ 1300X33LC and Hypro™ 1300X43LC VTBNX. The two new methacrylate-functional reactive liquid polymers (RLPs) are a part of the company’s Hypro™ product line of 100% solids, functional polybutadiene and acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymers. These liquid rubbers have carboxyl, hydroxyl, epoxy, glycidyl ester, methacrylate and amine terminal groups, which will reportedly crosslink into thermoset polymer systems and enhance key mechanical properties in the end-use applications.

Hypro 1300X33LC and 1300X43LC VTBNX are methacrylate-terminated copolymers of butadiene and acrylonitrile. They can offer superior viscosity stability and lighter color than the previous generation of Hypro VTBNXs, thus extending the shelf life and processing window, as well as expanding the use to applications where color is important.
