Hernon Manufacturing recently announced that Harry Arnon, president, has been named the Small Business Exporter of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Association’s North Florida Office. Arnon received the award for significantly increased export sales and profits, encouraging other firms to export, increasing jobs through exports, and innovative methods of creative markets.

In 1978, Arnon and his brother Josef started formulating adhesives in the basement of their home in Queens, N.Y., and incorporated Hernon Manufacturing Inc. In February of that year, the company was moved to a larger facility in Long Island City, and subsequently to a larger building in Brooklyn until constructing a new headquarters in Sanford, Fla., in 1990. Today, Hernon Manufacturing has a global presence in a variety of industries and applications.
