This company, a business group of Emerald Performance Materials, has introduced Kalama™ K-FLEX^®850P, a new phthalate-free plasticizer based on dipropylene glycol dibenzoate and diethylene glycol dibenzoate. The material has been formulated to optimize performance characteristics in vinyl and plastisol systems and can also be used in polysulfide sealants and latex-based adhesives, caulks, sealants and plastisol coatings. Kalama K-FLEX dibenzoate ester plasticizers are reportedly highly effective, low-VOC, non-phthalate, non-alkyl phenol ethoxylate (APE-free), non-SVHC, non-PBT plasticizers that are compatible with a range of polymers.
