Univar Inc. recently announced it has named George Makar as its new regional vice president for EMEA Oil & Gas. He will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Makar has more than 30 years of oilfield and senior management experience. In his new role, he is responsible for building the company’s Oil & Gas capabilities and growing business throughout the Middle East and the rest of Europe and Asia.
