Wednesday morning begins with a breakfast and keynote in the ballroom. From 7:30-9 a.m., H.B. Fuller President and CEO Jim Owens will discuss “Value Creation through
Adhesive Technology.” Adhesive technology enables innovation across nearly every sector of the manufacturing and construction industries, and goes far beyond product development by helping us tackle some of the biggest issues facing the world. Owens will address how the industry identifies micro- and macro-trends around the globe, the role the adhesives and sealants industry plays as a value creator, and the importance of taking risks to drive early commercialization of game-changing solutions to a variety of adhesion challenges.
Following the breakfast are three separate education sessions: Business Development and Market Trends: Trends in Life Cycle Assessment; Technical and Government Regulations: Trends in Hot Melt Adhesives; and New Technology and Application: Advanced Technology Link.
From noon to 1:15 p.m., the ASC Membership Update Lunch will address how the association is delivering value to its members. ASC Chair Rusty Thompson and President Matt Croson will also recognize and honor past leaders of the council and provide a glimpse of the association’s draft long range plan.
The afternoon commences a number of concurrent ASC committee meetings, followed by afternoon education sessions from 2:45 to 5 p.m.The Business Development and Market Trends track will provide a Small Business Focus; the Technical and Government Regulations sessions will examine Regulatory Affairs; and the New Technology and Application track will provide an Advanced Technology Link.
At the Closing Session, taking place from 5 to 6 p.m., Steve Kelley, director and senior fellow at the University of Minnesota, will present “Innovation and Collaboration in Green Chemistry Research, Education and Policy: Implications for the Boardroom.”
A Closing Reception from 6-7 p.m. in The Gallery on the Lobby Level provides one last networking opportunity for attendees.
