Nordson Corp. recently announced that its Swainsboro, Ga., facility has received the president’s “E” Award for Exports. The awards are reportedly the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports.
“In 2013, approximately 70% of Nordson’s $1.5 billion sales were outside of the U.S.,” said Chris Brooks, director of Engineering and Operations. “Exports are an important part of our global strategy and help supplement our local in-country manufacturing, assembly and service activities around the world to support our customers at the highest levels.”
U.S. companies are nominated for the “E” Award for Exports through the Department of Commerce’s U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service office network, located within the department’s International Trade Administration. A total of 66 U.S. companies were presented with the “E” award this year.
