Berry Plastics Group Inc. recently announced it has received a 2014 AmeriStar Award in the Drug and Pharmaceutical category. AmeriStar Awards are presented by the Institute of Packaging Professionals, and was awarded to Berry Plastics for the company’s role in the development and launch of Target’s pharmacy bottle, ClearRx V2.
“Since its initial launch in 2005, ClearRx has received many accolades, including being named the ‘Design of the Decade’ by Industrial Designers Society of America,” said John Vassallo, Berry Plastics’ director of Product Development, Healthcare. “With several years of collaboration between Target and Berry Plastics, we wanted to take the ClearRx line of pharmacy bottles to the next level. The new bottle design, ClearRx V2, incorporates several improvements, while ensuring that many of the design elements, which gained ClearRx its popularity, remain prominent.”
