Exxon Mobil Corp. recently announced that Patrick T. Mulva, vice president and controller, plans to retire on September 1 after more than 38 years of service. Mulva joined Exxon Co. USA in 1976 as a financial analyst at the company’s refinery in Baton Rouge, La. He went on to hold a variety of financial positions of increasing responsibility in the upstream and downstream operations.
In 2002, he became vice president of investor relations and corporate secretary of Exxon Mobil Corp. at the company’s Irving, Texas, headquarters. Mulva was elected to his current position in 2004.
