Delegates from around the world will gather at The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) Fall Convention and Expo, scheduled to take place October 20-22 at the Hyatt Regency Greenville in Greenville, S.C. The event will include concurrent technical sessions focusing on business development and market trends, technical and government relations, and new technology and applications, as well as a waterborne adhesives Short Course and an Expo.
Keynote Speakers
The following keynote speakers are scheduled to present at the event.
• David Crowe, Ph.D., chief economist and senior vice president at the National Association of Home Builders. Crowe will provide an update on macro-economic trends, along with data on the building and construction industry.
• Bob Marquette, senior vice president of Bostik Americas. Marquette will discuss Bostik’s approach to innovation as part of the company’s celebration of 125 years in business.
• Rick Farrell, president of Tangent Knowledge Systems. Farrell will highlight trends in value selling.
• Chuck Houk, president of Tremco Sealants and Waterproofing; and Michael Cohen, president of Industry Sky Works. Houk and Cohen will highlight how drone technology is providing customer value for Tremco’s Roofing and Building Maintenance division and the potential for using this technology for vertical wall systems, expanding the ability to quickly pinpoint gaps throughout the building envelope.
Speed Networking Returns
The Fall Convention and Expo will include the association’s Speed Networking lunch. This lunch provides members with an opportunity to meet six new contacts over the course of one hour-long lunch. Suppliers sit next to manufacturers, with the manufacturers switching seats after each course, allowing attendees to meet six new people while they sit down to lunch.
“When you have more than 600 people attending an event, it can be hard to meet new people as they go from session to session and meeting to meeting,” said Matthew E. Croson, ASC president. “The Speed Networking event provides an opportunity to slow down, meet some industry professionals and add to an attendee’s network. Reservations are needed for this free first-come, first-served event, and will be made available when attendees register.”
