Emerald Kalama Chemical, a business group of Emerald Performance Materials, recently announced that Wendy Herbst has joined the group as director of Marketing for the K-FLEX^® platform. In this newly created position, Herbst will be responsible for identifying initiatives for strategic growth, developing and updating market strategies, and coordinating activities across all functional areas to execute global initiatives.

Herbst has more than 12 years of experience in marketing, market development, and sales for the industrial and specialty materials industry. Most recently, she served as Global Segment leader and Pricing Process lead at Arizona Chemical, where she was responsible for company-wide pricing strategy, as well as business management and marketing of chemical intermediates and thermoplastic pavement marking.

“Wendy has shown that she has the expertise to precisely identify key opportunities and coordinate strategy to leverage them from a marketing standpoint,” said Shamsi Gravel, vice president of the K-FLEX business. “With her experience and insight, she will be a valuable asset in helping the K-FLEX platform grow worldwide.”
