Sika Corp. recently announced it will continue sponsorship of its Sikaflex^® Challenge Cup Build-a-Boat events throughout the summer of 2015. These events challenge contestants to design, build and race a small boat using limited plywood and lumber with only Sikaflex 291 as the adhesive and sealant.

Prizes are awarded for first-, second- and third-place finishers in the actual sea trials, and the winner of the race receives the Sikaflex Challenge Cup. In addition, trophies are awarded for Best Design and Fastest Build. Sika has sponsored the contest for more than 20 years.
