Norst™ PB-404 polyisobutylene polymer is now available. Thermogravimetric analysis via Aspen Research Corp. reportedly showed minimal material loss up to about 800°F. In addition, the polymer exhibits cold flow, excellent initial tack and cohesive strength at very low temperatures.

Applications include autoclave and vacuum packaging tapes, pipeline sealants, cable fillers, and other applications requiring a broad temperature range with high heat resistance.
