ASTM recently announced that Ralph M. Paroli, Ph.D., of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) in Ottawa, Ontario, has begun his term as 2016 chairman of the association’s international board of directors.

The board comprises 25 leaders from an array of companies, associations and government bodies worldwide.

“I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity to serve as chairman for 2016,” Paroli said. “As a citizen of Canada and France, I know first-hand that ASTM’s thriving international membership―and its overall leadership―have never been more crucial to helping our world work better.”
