BASF recently announced it has received 3M Canada’s Service Quality Supplier award for Supplier Ideation. As a longtime supplier of 3M Canada, BASF developed new ways to save costs for the company’s manufacturing plants and reduce its carbon footprint. The new process helps 3M Canada save time and energy, significantly reducing the number of road trips and associated paperwork. Marcelo Lu, president of BASF Canada, accepted the award at a ceremony in London, Ontario.
3M Canada’s annual Service Quality Supplier awards reportedly recognize suppliers who consistently exceed the company’s expectations, and deliver best in-class performance. Suppliers must also share in 3M’s commitment to quality, service, and the responsibility to the environment, while driving considerable and often measurable value for 3M, and the customers it services.
“We highly value our relationship with 3M Canada and this award demonstrates our shared commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability. Together, we collaborate to provide solutions for home, office, industrial and retail use,” said Lu. “As BASF ships a substantial amount of raw materials to 3M Canada each week, the companies worked together to find ways to transport more product while reducing the number of deliveries.”
