SCIGRIP recently announced its investment in an expanded sales team and the appointment of a Polish distributor. In addition, SCIGRIP has also completed a site upgrade at its UK facility, reportedly to prepare for a ramp up in production of a number of specialized adhesives later this year.
The company has promoted Tim Johnson to the position of European sales and marketing manager and Chris Coll to business development manager. Coll previously worked at Ashland and reportedly has experience with structural adhesives in the automotive, transport, and construction markets. Coll will reportedly be responsible for sales within the UK and strategic regions around Europe.
SCIGRIP has also signed a distribution agreement with Milar Sp.zo.o., subsidiary of the German-owned Biesterfeld Group.
In addition, an upgrade program is almost complete at SCIGRIP’s UK site in Washington, Newcastle. The upgrade intends to facilitate the large-scale production of a number of specialist products in greater volumes, and will reduce lead times for European customers.
“These latest advancements are part of a broader vision to drive our sales presence within Central and Eastern Europe,” said Johnson. “It is an exciting time as SCIGRIP Europe penetrates new markets to offer a more diverse range of structural and assembly adhesives and services than ever before.”
