The Adhesive and Sealant Council Inc. (ASC) recently announced that William Allmond has been appointed president by its board of directors, effective August 15. He has more than 23 years of experience in association management and strategic operations.
Allmond previously served as vice president of government and public relations at the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA). In that role, he made the association’s government relations a leader in policy priorities by way of increased staff and member company engagement strategies. In addition, he launched SOCMA’s grassroots program, SOCMA Connect, reportedly increasing member engagement in letter-writing campaigns and congressional facility visits.
“Bill brings a high level of energy, a strong background and experience in regulatory matters, and innovative thinking and creativity, which will help us in driving the continuation of our long-term strategic plan with the goal to grow the adhesives and sealants industry and provide more value to our members,” said Traci Jensen, ASC chairman.
