Georgia-Pacific Chemicals LLC recently announced it has earned the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Certified Bio-based Product Label for its tall oil and distillates of tall oil. The USDA label verifies that the product or product family’s amount of renewable bio-based ingredients meets or exceeds levels set by USDA. All biobased amount claims are verified by independent labs and monitored by the USDA. 

“I am excited to announce that our products produced from the fractionation of crude tall oil … have all been certified as 100% bio-based products,” said Mike Roberts, vice president. “We feel this brings added value to our customers as they look for raw materials derived from renewable resources.”
