The Forest Products Society recently issued an invitation for formal or poster presentations for its 2017 Advancements in Fiber-Polymer Composites Symposium, to be held May 16-17, 2017 in Madison, Wisc. The symposium intends to provide a forum for experts from scientific, technical, and industrial fields to exchange and disseminate information on the latest advances and future opportunities for fiber-polymer composites. Presentations covering wood fibers, natural fibers and nanocellulose composites will be featured. The symposium includes and optional one-day workshop on cellulose nanocomposites.
The conference is interested in the following topics: advanced reinforcements in fiber-polymer composites; biopolymer matrices; processing and drying of nanocellulose; novel additives and processing techniques; modification of natural fiber and nanocellulose for enhanced performance; recycling; and future markets/applications.
Abstracts are due by Nov. 15.
