Nouryon (formerly AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals) recently announced it has started production of Butanox, a methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) product, at its Pasadena, Texas, site.
“Butanox is the benchmark for producing glass fiber-reinforced products, and its success in Europe and Asia has also generated interest for the product with customers in North America,” said Johan Landfors, managing director, polymer chemistry. “We needed to start production here to satisfy growing customer demand and we are poised to expand production capacity to support our customers.”
