The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) recently announced the recipients of its third annual Innovation Awards. The awards reportedly recognize the top three innovations from the adhesives and sealants industry.
The primary award was presented to Deborah Moore, Henkel product development technical lead, for “Loctite Universal Structural Bonders Powered by Hybrid Technology.”
First runner up went to Dow with a development called “UV Curable Primer that Enables Hard to Bond INFUSE™ Olefin Block Copolymer Midsole Foams in High Performance Footwear.”
The second runner was Sartomer for “An electron Beam curable Resealable Adhesive that Only Sticks to Itself.”
“We were pleased with the quality of the submittals for the 3rd annual program in which we recognized unique developments for our industry,” said Steve Duren, senior director and lead for developing the awards. “We will improve and sharpen our program for 2020; thank you to all that submitted in 2019. Congratulations to Sartomer and Dow as runners up and Henkel as our first place winner for the 2019 best innovations.”
