Foam Expo organizers recently reported that more than 5,220 attendees from 45 countries attended the event, which took place March 26-28 in Novi, Mich.
More than 350 exhibitors participated in the event, which reportedly covered the entire industry supply chain. Companies displayed their products to an audience of high-level engineers and executives from the automotive, aerospace, construction, medical, packaging, and sports and leisure industries. Attendees’ roles included designing, specifying, purchasing, manufacturing and supplying materials, products and equipment at Apple, Nike, Ford, Toyota, BASF, Bose, Siemens, Evonik, Honeywell, Toyota, and Amazon.
The event kicked off with a Leadership Panel, where delegates heard representatives from Lear, Armacell and General Plastics discuss topics including emerging markets and additive manufacturing. The Great VOC Trade-Off was presented on the second day, with new perspectives on changing regulation from Ford, Dow and BASF. The final day of the conference focused on sustainability, with the Bio-Based Materials session sharing fresh innovations of 2019.
A new B2B matchmaking service also took place, which reportedly enabled targeted pre-scheduled meetings.
