Dispense Works Inc. recently announced that it offers several large-format dispensing systems, including the RD2500. Manufactured in the U.S., this robot reportedly combines a smart workbench to a built-in precision overhead servo XYZ gantry system. 

According to the company, mechanisms are neatly tucked in and do not add to the width of the bench, which provides easy access from the front, sides, and top—requiring less operator “reach” to the center of the table. In addition, the 25 full-length slots in the t-slot table base plate provide multiple fixturing possibilities for most applications. Under this table surface, the actual machine base is fabricated from steel tubing and then is ground to a specified flatness. 

The unit’s modular design reportedly provides an ideal foundation for mounting virtually any type of top surface, including t-slot table, vacuum table, panel conveyor, custom plates, and more. The standard machine can reportedly travel at over 32 in./sec and is available in the following travels: 100 x 50 in. (2,500 x 1,250 mm) and 50 x 50 in. (1,250 x 1,250 mm).
