MOLTENI S.R.L.: Laboratory Vacuum Double-Planetary Mixer
According to Molteni, the mixer’s two planetary shafts and the orbital rotation of the gearbox and scraper are driven by their own hydraulic motor for two independent motions.

Milan, Italy-based Molteni s.r.l. recently announced the introduction of its new vacuum-rated, 14-L (3.7-gal) double-planetary mixer model RHBB14, which is reportedly designed for processing highly viscous products under full vacuum. According to the company, the mixer’s two planetary shafts and the orbital rotation of the gearbox and scraper are driven by their own hydraulic motor for two independent motions.
The RHBB14 mixes highly viscous semi-solid products as high as 5 million cps. The vessels are jacketed for heating and cooling. The RHBB14 is available as a turnkey system that includes a bench-mounted high-pressure hydraulic press for the discharge of the final product.
