Induron Protective Coatings recently announced that Jamie Laird has joined the company as sales manager for Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining Induron, Laird worked as the Industrial Market manager for Rodda/Cloverdale Paints, as well as in various sales and technical service roles in Sherwin Williams’ Protective and Marine Coatings division.

“We are excited to add Laird to the team as he has extensive industry experience and involvement,” said Davies Hood, president. “His customer-serving approach aligns well with Induron’s mission, and we know he will be a strong addition to our growing team.”

Laird is involved with NACE International as a Level 3 coatings inspector and a NACE CIP 1 and CIP 2 instructor. He has also served as treasurer, chair, and vice chair of the Oregon NACE chapter. In addition to his NACE involvement, Induron reports that Laird is recognized as a SSPC Level 3 protective coating inspector, certified concrete coating inspector, and protective coating specialist, and is the 36th person in SSPC’s history to attain master coating inspector. Laird instructs concrete coating inspector and protective coating inspector courses while serving on the education committee for SSPC.

“My goal is to represent Induron with the utmost integrity and technical expertise,” Laird said. “My job is to handle the industrial coatings on any project from start to finish. I want every person and company that I do business with to trust that they are in the right hands and equipped with the right products.”
