Chromaflo Technologies Corp. recently announced its acquisition of Rolfes Colour Pigments International (RCPI) of South Africa, including the liquid dispersion and pigment trading businesses. The purchase price was not disclosed.
In addition, Chromaflo completed the simultaneous sale of the RCPI pigment trading division to Chemipol Solutions (Pty.) Limited. Chromaflo reports that Chemipol, a raw material supplier to the South African market, is ideally placed to serve the pigment trading customers.
“The acquisition of RCPI generates exciting opportunities for our customers by expanding our product portfolio and our footprint in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa,” said John Dry, Chromaflo’s vice president and managing director for the Asia-Pacific region. “Selling the pigment trading portion of the business to Chemipol ensures continuity for the shared customer base.”
According to James Di Blasio, CEO of Chemipol, “We are extremely excited to have made the acquisition of the RCPI pigment trading business from Chromaflo. We are well placed to provide continuity to customers as well as offer more opportunities to them. We’ll be working hard to ensure customers’ priorities are well catered for.”
