DELO recently announced that it now offers a compact LED curing lamp for use in industrial applications with limited work space. The DELOLUX 503 is designed to bond small surfaces, such as cameras used in autonomous cars, within seconds on serial production lines.

The new lamp directs light diagonally downward so that it does not need to be installed at level with the components that need to be bonded. This reportedly provides more moving space for axes or grippers and helps to integrate complex systems.

DELO reports that the DELOLUX 503 curing lamp irradiates an area of 18 x 6 mm at a working distance of 15 mm. This spot light source is available in two versions. One version features a wavelength of 365 nm, with a nominal intensity of more than 1,000 mW/cm², optimized for fast fixation in less than a second. The second features a higher wavelength of 400 nm and an intensity of more than 1,600 mW/cm², which offers better penetration of minimally translucent plastics and optimized deep curing of the adhesive.
