Hexion Inc. recently announced the release of its “2019 Sustainability Report,” highlighting the company’s efforts and accomplishments in enhancing safety, efficiency, sustainability, and social responsibility. Highlights from the report include:
- Hexion joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) ENERGY STAR program as a partner in 2019 and completed several projects improving efficiency in natural gas, water, and electrical consumption.
- Hexion worked with a customer to develop a new waterborne epoxy system for coatings that allowed that customer to achieve significantly less volatile organic compounds (VOCs) use and improved performance compared to the previous material.
- In 2019, Hexion achieved 95% site participation with its community outreach activities, with more than $700,000 in charitable contributions and approximately 7,000 employee volunteer hours.
