Of the 37 labels awarded by the jury of this year’s Vinitaly Design International Packaging Competition, 14 are printed on Arconvert-Ritrama self-adhesive materials, including the Label of the Year 2020: Anima Mundi by Andrea Castelletti. The competition aims to highlight the best packaging for wines, spirits, liqueurs, beers, and extra virgin olive oils.
With its Anima Mundi wine, the Cantina dei Colli Ripani winery has the ambition to represent the connection between the territory, its people, and its traditions. The complicated label is printed on Arconvert’s Ispira Blue Saggezza Ultra WS, a pure natural ECF pulp paper with a special soft surface finish. The material’s color goes in contrast with the wine’s amber shades; the special die-cutting and partial removal allows the see-through effect that makes the blue and the amber colors stand out. In addition, an ultra WS treatment avoids the formation of wrinkles and reduces the absorption of water on the surface of the paper.
