FLEXcon Co., Inc. recently announced that Kara Weiner has been appointed chief operations officer of FLEXcon North America. Weiner will bring a wealth of knowledge in the areas of manufacturing, engineering, quality, plant management, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and operations analysis to her new role, according to Lavon Winkler, FLEXcon North America president.
“Kara is an experienced change leader who will work collaboratively with managers and team members to improve operational efficiency,” Winkler said. “She will also focus on employee development with a team-oriented mindset to facilitate problem-solving and improvements across all of FLEXcon manufacturing, resulting in improved outcomes for our customers.”
Weiner most recently served as vice president of operations at Stratasys, where she led North American operations and transformed manufacturing strategy to deliver improvements in production performance without sacrificing quality. Previously, Weiner served as a lean six sigma manager for 3M Co., where she realized significant resource efficiency gains.
“I look forward to working with FLEXcon’s Executive Team, managers and team members throughout the organization to align structure and processes with the company’s strategic goals,” Weiner said. “Through a collaborative approach to problem-solving and improvement, we will drive technical change within the organization which will, in turn, improve lead times and ensure the highest quality for our customers.”
