Wausau Coated Products has added a new product line of high-performance acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive transfer tapes. According to the company, the i series transfer tapes are designed for applications where a permanent bond to high-surface-energy (HSE) substrates and enhanced performance characteristics are required, while the new T series offers exceptional permanent bonding performance to both HSE and low-surface-energy (LSE) substrates with excellent shear properties, even at elevated temperatures. Both series include products that are UL-recognized components to Standard UL 969.

The i series and T series transfer tapes are available in various calipers ranging from 1-5 mils to accommodate smooth to textured surfaces. The tapes are available in standard 39-in. master widths, with narrower slit widths available. In addition to these new products, the company reports it can mix and match adhesive technologies and liner options.
