FEICA, the Association of the European Adhesive and Sealant Industry, recently released a market study focusing on “The European Adhesives and Sealants Market.” This 2021-2026 report was prepared by Smithers on behalf of FEICA. Because of the impact on the European Union (EU) market of the COVID-19 pandemic, FEICA commissioned this latest edition in 2021. The market is defined for the year 2020, and a demand forecast for the period 2021-2026 is also provided.
The FEICA market study provides insights to help companies better position themselves for success in today’s challenging business environment. The geographic scope of the study encompasses Europe, including Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and Turkey. The European region is split into five regional markets, which are analyzed by market segment and product category.
Based on primary research, the study draws its data from direct interviews with stakeholders in the adhesive and sealant industry. In addition, the study follows the harmonized FEICA-ASC-CATIA Adhesives and Sealants Classification Manual. The 200-page+ report is structured in such a way as to facilitate international comparisons between Europe, NAFTA, and the Asia-Pacific region. The markets of the latter two regions are analyzed in separate companion reports offered by the Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC).
“The European adhesives and sealants market is forecast to grow to €22.2 billion [approximately $25.4 billion] by 2026, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.6% for 2021-26,” said Kristel Ons, FEICA secretary general. “In the upcoming years, there will be a continued strong demand for safe, recyclable, sustainable adhesives and sealants products, where price and quality remain key.”
