Paula Diaz, senior Regulatory Affairs manager at FEICA, has been elected as chair of DUCC, replacing Jan Robinson, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs director at AISE (the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products). DUCC is a joint platform of 11 European associations representing downstream users, ranging from adhesives and sealants to construction chemicals, cosmetics and detergents, aerosols, paints, inks, toners, pressroom chemicals, fragrances, lubricants, crop protection, and chemical distributors industries.

DUCC membership comprises almost 10,000 companies across the respective sectors in Europe (mostly SMEs). DUCC is a co-founding member of two European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) multi-stakeholder initiatives on the topic of supply chain communication: the Exchange Network of Exposure Scenarios (ENES) and the Chemical Safety Report/Exposure Scenarios Roadmap (CSR/ES Roadmap). The group says its main objective is to further the successful implementation of the requirements of the REACH and CLP Regulations. FEICA has actively contributed to all since their conception.

Since its creation in 2001, DUCC has been recognized by the EU authorities and other stakeholders as the common voice for many users of chemicals. DUCC aims to ensure that downstream users’ needs, rights, duties, and specificities are taken into account.
