Adhesives are not typically top of mind to consumers of disposable hygiene products. They are not a large part of the product and can possibly be an afterthought by the article producers themselves. However, it is important to recognize that adhesives have several important tasks in these applications, from sealing and securing the diaper or pad core’s structure to holding elastics firmly in place inside the diaper.
The company has set a long-term goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.

Berry Global Group, Inc. recently announced its first three sites in North America to achieve the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS designation.
The label assures that the percentage of renewable bio-based content is third-party certified and monitored by the USDA.

Sartomer, part of the Coating Solutions segment of Arkema, announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved five SARBIO® specialty acrylate and methacrylate resins based on renewable raw materials to carry the agency's Certified Biobased Product label.
The plant will produce fumed silica marketed under the AEROSIL brand name.

The joint venture between Evonik and Wynca, Evonik Wynca (Zhenjiang) Silicon Material Co., Ltd., recently held an opening ceremony for a new fumed silica plant located in the Zhenjiang New Material Industry Park in Jiangsu province, China.
