The probable reason for your problem is the ultraviolet (UV) transparency of the plastic and the fact that epoxy bonds are not very UV resistant. Even epoxy coatings are not recommended for outdoor applications because they discolor under UV.
Foam tapes are used in a wide range of markets, such as automotive, packaging, electronics and medical. They serve a number of functions—from vibration dampening to shock absorption to temperature insulation.
Chances are pretty good that you’re not losing sleep thinking about pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape. But the fact is, PSA tape is everywhere—and the more you know about it, the better armed you will be. The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council’s annual Tape Summit can provide such learning and knowledge-building opportunities.
The wearable adhesives market is being propelled by healthcare advancements and increasing demand for personalized care options. Wearable adhesives are used to attach medical devices to the body for continuous and long-term durations. While the skin-interfacing adhesive is only a small component of a wearable device, its ability to properly adhere to the skin is a key factor for an effectively functioning device.
