The automotive adhesives market is set to grow rapidly over the coming five years as manufacturers move to lightweight vehicle designs, meet increased demand for crossover utility vehicles (CUVs) and sport-utility vehicles (SUVs), and use a range of different materials, according to a recent Smithers Apex report.
Once completed, the facility will house more than 350 employees.

A team of 16 undergraduate and graduate engineering students from the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) in Montréal, Canada, recently finished building Rafale II, an all-composite C-Class racing hydrofoil catamaran. It features redesigned carbon fiber epoxy prepreg hulls and cross beams, which are stiffer and 25% lighter while providing 15% more displacement volume.
