It’s finally here—Election Day 2012. I’m excited and relieved at the same time and in equal measure. I still feel like a kid when I go in to vote; it’s great fun to be part of the process that will determine the direction of our country. On the other hand, I live in the battleground state of Ohio, and one of the joys of Election Day is knowing that the constant robo-calls and political ads will end soon.
No matter your political affiliation (being American means we don’t have to agree, after all), please take time to go out and vote today. Standing in line might seem like a hassle, and to some degree it is, but so many people around the world can only dream of this privilege.
