NPR recently reported that independent bookstores are enjoying a mini-revival with their numbers swelling 25% since 2009, according to the American Booksellers Association. Last week, we asked eNews readers if they still buy paper books. The vast majority of readers (90%) answered yes; 10% said no.
Comments:
“Computer desk ergonomics are poor. A book is cheap, lasts a lifetime, can be read comfortably anywhere, and does not need electricity!”
“I read only paper books. The e-books/digital books are simply inconvenient and actually take all the joy out of reading! I hate e-books!”
“Most of the digital e-readers bother my eyes — too many electronics!”
