Our goal at ASI is to share high-quality, insightful information focused on adhesives and sealants (and related industries) in order to help your company succeed. Toward that end, we’ve expanded our roster of leading industry voices by adding several new columns focusing on key aspects of the industry.
Bill Allmond, president of the Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC), will contribute the Common Bond column with the aim of sharing association activities and discussing key trends impacting the industry. In his first installment, “Bringing the Adhesive and Sealant Industry Back Together in 2022,” he shares details regarding the upcoming 2022 World Adhesive and Sealant Conference.
The new European Perspectives column will be penned by Isabelle Alenus, who serves as senior communications manager for FEICA, the European association of the adhesive and sealant industry. Isabelle will be discussing industry-related trends, activities, and regulations in Europe. In “Defining a System for the Notification of Polymers,” she tackles concerns related to potential changes in how polymers are treated in terms of Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulations.
Jenny Gaines, senior director of membership, marketing, and communications for SOCMA, will cover issues related to the specialty chemicals sector in the Specialty Chemicals Insights column. Her first contribution focuses on “Connections, Solutions Take Center Stage at Specialty & Custom Chemicals Show.”
With the supply chain maintaining a leading role in many of our nightmares, Lisa Anderson, founder and president of LMA Consulting Group, will share her insights in Supply Chain Strategies. In “Do You Have Suppliers or Partners?,” she explains why the distinction is important and what companies can do to maximize these key relationships.
All of our columnists’ contributions are archived for your reference. I’d love to hear your feedback regarding these offerings. Do these columns address issues that are important to your business? What topics would you like to see more of? Please reach out to me to share your thoughts.
