ASC Fall Program Highlights of the Day: Wednesday, October 22

On Wednesday, October 22, the Fall Convention begins with a General Breakfast and Keynote, where Robert (Bob) Marquette, senior vice president, Bostik Americas, will discuss the evolution of the adhesives industry and Bostik’s journey over its past 125 years in business.

Educational sessions begin at 9:15 with a Business Development and Market Trends track; a session covering Technical and Government Regulations; and a New Technology and Application track.

The General Session and Keynote is scheduled for noon, where keynote speaker Richard Farrell, president of Tangent Knowledge Systems, will present his talk, “How the Information Economy Has Neutralized and Marginalized the Traditional Selling Value Proposition of Companies.”

Educational sessions resume at 1:45 with a Business Development and Market Trends track focusing on small  business; a Technical and Government Regulations session on equipment; and a New Technology and Application: Advanced Technology Link track. In addition, ASC Committee meetings take place from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

From 3:30-4 p.m., a Committee Knowledge Integration Meeting is scheduled to take place, with the intention of updating each of the ASC committees on each other’s activities.

 The Closing Session takes place at 4 p.m., with presentations by Chuck Houk, president of Tremco Sealants and Waterproofing; and Michael Cohen, president of Industry Sky Works.  Houk and Cohen will highlight how drone technology is providing customer value for Tremco’s Roofing and Building Maintenance division and the potential for using this technology for vertical wall systems, expanding the ability to quickly pinpoint gaps throughout the building envelope.
