At its 2018 Fall Member Meeting, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) announced longtime former board member Charlie McKenna as the inductee to the organization’s prestigious Hall of Fame, and marketing committee member Dennis Schulmerich as the recipient of its President’s Award.

This Hall of Fame award recognizes and honors outstanding volunteers who have advanced the organization's mission and vision through their volunteer efforts by serving on a committee. McKenna, who began his involvement with PSTC in 2008 as a representative of the organization’s marketing committee, joins the ranks of some 36 members. McKenna joined PSTC’s Board of Directors in 2015 and was an active member until 2018.

McKenna was employed at 3M company for 36 years, starting in industrial abrasives business sales and working his way into the industrial tapes and adhesives business.

The President’s Award reportedly honors outstanding volunteers who have served on a committee with the purpose of advancing the PSTC's mission and vision. Schulmerich joined the PSTC in 2012 and volunteered for the marketing committee in 2013. In 2016, he worked with TRC Advisory and Brakethrough Research to develop and implement a Market Opportunity Research Study to determine the building and construction industry as one showing growth for PSA tape usage.
