HumiSeal® recently announced that it has gained IATF 16949 certification for its Pittsburgh, Pa., manufacturing facility. The company reports that, in addition to the IATF 16949 certification previously achieved by its facility in Winnersh, UK, this further solidifies its continued commitment to the quality and consistency of products manufactured.
IATF 16949 is the global technical specification and quality management standard for the automotive industry. According to HumiSeal, this certification follows significant investment and several months of implementing further quality assurance protocols across the company’s manufacturing and distribution operations.
IATF 16949 was originally published in 1999 to create and promote harmonization of supplier quality systems to improve product and process quality in the automotive industry. IATF 16949 is a common global registration recognized by all participating organizations of the IATF, which includes DaimlerChrysler AG, Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., BMW, Volkswagen, and others.
“As our commitment to all customers, we continue to improve our quality systems through investment in our employees, systems, and infrastructure that ensures best in class products supplied to electronics manufacturing,” said Dave Coye, Quality director and project sponsor. “This is an exciting achievement for another HumiSeal manufacturing facility to be certified to the highest quality standard.”
