The IPC APEX EXPO 2025 is celebrating 25 years of innovation, collaboration, and community at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, March 18-20. With the theme, "Reimagine the Possibilities," the event is the premier destination in North America for professionals in the electronics industry. The convention and expo will offer attendees educational sessions, a chance to see the latest cutting-edge technologies, an opportunity to participate in standards development committees, and networking events with peers.
The keynote speaker on Tuesday, March 19, will be Kevin Surace. Considered a futurist, visionary, and inventor of disruptive innovation and generative AI, Surace will present “AI, Automation, and the Digital Transformation.” On Wednesday morning, Dr. Ahmad Bahai, senior vice president and chief technology officer of Texas Instruments, will deliver a keynote address titled, “3D Integration and Chiplets: An Edge AI Perspective.” At the Wednesday luncheon, John W. Mitchell, IPC president, CEO, and industry visionary, will be the keynote speaker. Mitchell’s address, “Electronics: The Resource Transforming the Global Economy,” will discuss the role of industry, governments, and global bodies in resolving supply chain, sustainability, technology, and information challenges.
Educational opportunities offered to attendees at this year’s event include technical sessions, professional development courses, and special sessions that will focus on advanced packaging and electric vehicles. Additionally, the show floor will feature the newest innovative equipment. Exhibitors that have participated in IPC APEX EXPO for 25 years will be highlighted. The show floor will also offer a Learning Lounge where attendees can participate in free sessions covering many topics, including designing training for electronics manufacturing, building a regional workforce ecosystem for electronic manufacturing, IPC test methods, the ROI of training in electronics manufacturing, and PCB design, fabrication, and manufacturing.
The event offers many networking opportunities for attendees. These include a networking luncheon and newcomers networking reception on Monday, March 17; a ribbon-cutting ceremony, luncheon, show floor reception, and poster presentations on the show floor on Tuesday, March 18; and a luncheon, ice cream social, and poster presentations on the show floor on Wednesday, March 19. Additional networking opportunities on Wednesday include exhibitor networking functions and a Women in Electronics reception on Wednesday evening.
This year’s technical conference and professional development courses will include topics such as advanced packaging components, assembly and test processes, design, electronic assembly materials, emerging technologies, factory of the future, PCB fabrication and materials, power electronics, quality and reliability, and sustainability for electronics.
Standards Development committee meetings will take place Saturday, March 15 through Thursday, March 20. Professionals who participate in the Standards Development Committee meetings can contribute to shaping standards, expand their network, and impact the electronic product development cycle.
